Hay guys ok im planning to FINALLY put any exhaust on my seafoam green GM4, and im just wondering what is the best type of exhaust to put on that has the best deep boxer rumble sound? well I dont want to put a exhaust that sounds like a honda I want people to know when they hear my car they know its a subie hahaha.....!

 

It depends how loud you want it but Blitz Nur Spec is the best sounding exhaust imho. Very deep rumble. Its pretty loud though.

 

I have a perrin 3inch tbe exhaust , it's pretty damn deep and loud .

 

ok is there one thats deep but not that loud?

 

i like the aps 3.5 but they are expensive

just to let you know u should not go bigger then a 2 1/4 you will lose power b/c you are a n/a car. a 2.5 is pushing it. i think you will like the blitz nur spec but i don't think that kame it with piping that small. check out rs25.com they know more about our cars then any other site. (reffering to gc's) and also justin (91sleeper) has a nice sounding exhaust you may wanna check his out. he is a n/a rs

 

the RS doesnt really have a rumble... i have a custom made exhaust on my car and it only rumbles in the lower rpms.... once they start getting up, it sounds like a honda.... with the borla un-equal length headers, they have more of a rumble.... but yeah thats just all the knowledge i have.

 

he has borlas now tho he got a 2.2L

 

tho with the borlas and a good toned exhaust you should be alright

 

yups thats why I want an exhaust cause I got the unequal headers... but I have to fix it well just one side. yeah justins sounds good but I don tknow why type of exhaust to get I want to get something that looks like the HKS Hi-Power look.... when my car is on I can hear the rumble when im at the back of the car so yeah I know im gonna have it once I put an exhaust. thanks **** for the advice on pipe size.

 

Might as well just go straight pipe.

If you have an NA car you shouldn't be looking at the exhausts that come on WRXs...the diameter is too wide.

I say straight pipe...you will destroy all comers!

 

i had a str8 pipe on my 1.8 it didn't sound the best. as long as he get a 2 1/2 piping he's all good

 

noway.... am I going straight pipe, it would come loudER hahaha im looking for deep and not that loud...

 

when i had my NA motor i and the old skool exhaust "Hayame" dual tip. as soon as i installed my borla header i got that deep rumble tone you want!
