Anyone planning to paint their trim soon? (08+ hatch)
Hey guys, so today i effed up. I attempted to use some goof-off of the inside trim to get this sticker-residue off (came with the car). So it worked, but it worked a little TOO good... Ended up ruining the trim paint :/ So, i was wondering if maybe any of you guys were planning on painting yours, and maybe would want to swap with mine? You cant feel the damage that much, but when you sand it to paint it, it shouldnt even be a problem. So yeah, if any of you people are thinking about painting yours and wanna swap, pm me! Im located in Santa Clara btw. Ps, ill throw in a 10 for you as well, so lets do this!

*Have it resprayed and have them put a decent sealer coat on top.
We all know anything silver on our interiors scratches if you breathe on it wrong. A good spray to blend the spot and a clear sealer will actually make that dash better IMHO.
**Trippy how you can see where the sticker's letters were. Goes to show what I was told about the sticker adhesives these days penetrating down. I'd pulled off some vinyl I was running on my rear window and cleaned the glass with professional stuff, if I breathe on it on a cold night I can still read my graphics.
FWIW a professional tip, if you peel a sticker off and it leaves residue, the best thing to actually remove that residue is the sticker itself. Find a section on the back of the sticker that is still sticky and reapply the sticker over the residue, the remnant will get pulled off safer. You can then touch-dab the rest of the residue and it should all pull clean.
