PE 1820F turbo?

Well I'm really starting to look at turbos now. Anyone in Hawaii have a PE 1820F turbo?

Do you think it's too small for the 2.5L?

I think its a over priced turbo for the numbers that it puts out. Woopty Doo that it is problay not built on an assembly line like IHI's but its still based off the IHI design, except for the different wheels.

T-67 !!!!!

I don't know much about the PE turbos. I've always been partial to the Mitsu snails. How 'bout the FP Green or an 18G?

My 1st choice(till I find something better) is still the T-67, just looking for other options.

"PE1825F - Power's new bolt on turbo for newer Impreza GDB STi

As opposed to the single-exhaust entry turbine housing on the previous GDB model, the newer GDB STi has the twin-entry, designed for smoother exhaust gas entry to the turbine housing without having exhaust interference. We now, developed a twin-entry bolt on turbo for the later version of GDB. Torque and response at low to mid range are drastically improved by utilizing the ball bearing and the PE1825F compressor wheel of big 70pai easily supports monstrous 400+ps of power all the way to the high RPM range. The bolt on installation needs no additional work.

Right now this is simply the BEST BOLT-ON Turbo available for the new WRX and STI!!!!

PE1825F Regular price: $2,380.00 Sale price: $2,023.00"

I wonder how effective a twin entry turbo would be without an equal length header setup. The whole idea with the twin entry is to allow evenly timed exhaust pulses to spin the turbine thus reducing lag. Even if the turbo itself was a twin entry design it wouldn't make much of a difference if the exhaust pulses weren't properly divided as it entered the turbine. The MR-2 has a twin entry turbo stock from the factory and the exhaust manifold wasn't exactly equal length but the flow was divided with cyliners 2&3 going into one side and 1&4 going into the other.
