OT: saturn ion redline

i kno this is wildly off topic but my neighbor just brought home a brand new saturn ion redline. its black with chrome wheel.

my first impression without riding in or driving the car is that it is way more awesomer than i thought it would be. this is the first time ive ever seen one. he told me its built with a cobalt ss chasis and driveline. they even have recaro seats front and back!

if anybody is ever looking for a cheaper alternative to the wrx i think the ion redline would be good to look at.

I believe the cobalt SS was built because ion redline sales were horrid.

I drove one about a year ago, its . . . a saturn. Dunno, supercharger was kind of fun, but it had massive wheel hop (not even WOT).

before buying ...drop a huge downpayment if you plan on trading in or selling within a couple of years. for some crazy reasons unknown... GM products generally have a horrendous resale value (with exceptions to the obvious of course) great link by dan-
