Saturn Ion Redline = Chevy Cobalt SS

Who knew? I didn't it turns out that they have the exact same powerplant, but the cobalt has a new body. Chevy is trying to sell the cobalt like it is some amazing piece of technology. I bet the doors will even dent, at least the Saturn's didn't. I test drive the supercharged intercooled redline over 6 months ago, and bleh is all I have to say. It did have nice recaro seats though. So it turns out chevy decided that they could take that week engine and put it in a slightly modified body and now everyone will love it.

If anyone cared...

The cobalt SS will handle MUCH better than the Ion though.

It's the new corporate motor, Ecotec, and it's actually a pretty good motor.
