new clutch

watts up everyone! i purchased a new exedy race clutch and was wondering how much of a pain it is to install as the shop wants more than the price of the parts to put it in. has anyone done this and what am i looking at if i choose to tackle it myself? and can it be done with minimal tools and no lift

I'm no noob to engine work, however the last clutch i installed was in my 95 suzuki and the entire engine had to be lifted out to get to tranny.

any help or advise appreciated.

Without a lift, it's easier to remove engine. Just need jack stands and engine hoist other than regular tools.

Remove radiator battery, air box, intercooler, ps pump alt., ac compressor (leave hoses connected to ac compressor and ps pump and lay them to the side) remove the intake manifold/wiring harness/tgv bodies in one piece. Then remove bolts that hold transmission to engine. top pitch mount, bottom 2 motor mounts, 5 bolts for downpipe, and the clutch fork pivot arm. use 10 mm allen to remove plug and long timing belt cover bolt to remove pivot shaft. engine comes out...replace clutch. reverse

hardest part was probably separating the bell housing and the engine
