Well, I went to ACE and solved the bolt problem. Suprisingly the hardware store actually came through with what i needed for once (they had the hex wrench i needed too so I am becoming a loyal customer). So anyway the flywheel is in. The clutch is in and after about 2 hours of finagling THE TRANNY IS IN TOO!!! unfortunately, I just discovered that on the six speed you cant fit the bolt into the shifter linkage without pushing the transmission to the right........ so in the morning i will drop the crossmembers again and i think i can push it over enough without unbolting it from the engine. At least its up there and mounted tho, man that baby is a tiiiiiiight fit. i had maybe half an inch at the most to spare and in most cases less than a 1/4 inch of clearance. I'm waiting on the axle stubs to get here anyway so I guess its not that big of a deal.

Ok, so this morning after getting the crossmembers off again I discovered that the bolt I had for the shifter stay was not the right size..... this sucked cause no one else was home so I had no way into town for most of the day, I also couldnt get the seals out of the tranny without a seal puller so that left me hangin till about 530pm.... BUT, I got into town, found a replacement bolt again at ACE (I love those guys) and picked up a seal puller at a local autoparts store. So long story short, everything is back together with the exception of the exhaust and intercooler. I just need to put the exhaust on in the morning, drop her down and fill up the tranny, put on the TMIC and other little crap and I should be about ready to try takin her for a spin. My only issue now is that i need a t70 torx bit for the stupid drain plug and of course no one in town has one. But I will scour the hills again in the morning and see if i cant scrape one up. Night guys!

IT IS FINISHED!!!!!
well i found a torx bit at autozone wich made life way easier. put new fluid in the tranny, changed the motor oil and finished putting back together the little odds and ends. The car started right up the first time and runs like a champ. This tranny is smooooooooth! The gear changes are like butter and it continually puts the car right in the powerband, even at lower revs there is still more power than the 5speed. I cant wait till the clutch breaks in so I can test it out proper
