loss of rpm

so i was heading to town tonight and noticed as i was getting on the likelike (from the kaneohe side) when i shifted to 5th gear my rpm would hit 3K than it would drop down to 2500 and continue to climb again. After i noticed it i shifted to fourth and back to fifth and the same thing happened. I had been driving for no more than 5-10 minutes. so i drove the entire likelike turned around and tried to make it happen again on the way home but couldn't. any ideas on whats wrong? I have a 2000 impreza rs with a manual transmission. The only mods i have is an intake. I have about 60K on the motor.

Try to be easy on your clutch, don't jump on it or accelerate hard, that way it will last while you are saving/searching for a clutch /flywheel.

Once it goes it goes, mine went and I had to rev the **** out of it to get it on the trailer. Man it was stinky...

Yup they really took care of my car while it was there. It took a while, mostly because we were waiting for parts which was my fault, but if you have it all together its an easy job.
