ummm, I'll just make this easy already.

axle back is just a muffler. Using an axle back on stock piping will give you little to no gains.

catback is what the name implies. It starts from the cat in your stock downpipe and goes all the way to the back of your car and ends with a muffler. Gains are minimal but more than an axle back.

Turboback is what the name implies. It starts from your turbo, replaces your stock downpipe and exhuast. This is what you'll want to end up with eventually if you want the "most" power. Turboback consists of a Downpipe and a catback exhaust.

And going catless is illegal, stink, and loud. So keep that in mind.

This is just a very basic and generic description about the different types of exhausts. You have to decide what You want.

axle back = 300
catback = 500-800
turboback = 1000-1300 maybe more.
