hey wassup guys, i just wanted some feedback on these turbos. i tried doing some reviews, but it's not good enough.
i just wanted to know whats a good turbo, i want to run atleast 290 whp or maybe 300 whp, something that is borderline and won't do a lot of harm to my engine.
so i wanted to know if i should run the IHI VF34 or a Garrett Ball Bearing GT10 or GT11. I want to set up my car for street and drag racing, maybe MAYBE a little bit or auto cross.
so if you guys could help me out here, i would greatly appreciate it. oh yeah btw, i'm currently running turbo xs intake and FMIC, helix up and down pipe, sti 565cc injectors, 255 lph walbro fuel pump, fuel pressure regulator, avc-r boost controller, hks hi-power cat back exhaust, and turboxs utec. this is just a little info. to help you guys decide what is good for my ideal setup. Thanks

why not go with a vf39? i mean if you want something user friendly then nothhing better than stock...sti that is. coupled with the injectors and fuel pump and a few other mods should yeild you in the neighborhood of where you wanna be. the lagg won't be bad and it is def the cheapest of the three, cuz i know you workz hard fo the $$

I had a friend back in charleston SC with that setup w/ a VF34 that car was insane!! The top end on it was monsterous in my opinion and I am pretty sure he was a bit over the 300HP mark. On another note my friend that auto-x alot, he went with a TXS top mount, STi injectors, perrin fuel rails, walboro fuel pump, TXS TBE, Helix uppipe and PDE down pipe, TXS intake, TXS UTEC, and finish it off the VF-23... He didnt have anywhere near the same topend, but that thing accelerated like a bat outta hell cause it reached full boost at like 2300 RPM if I remember right. However you want to go the drag route so I would go with the crowd and say the VF34, 39, or the garrett series. Sorry for the long post hope it gives you some more info
