I am currently waiting at a restaurant and would like to find another restaurant to wait at. Or something similiar. Please let me know if you know a good place that treats workers well and not like crap. Also a place that doesnt fire people off little mistakes.

Look bro, I worked for Discount Tire for six years as an an Asst. mgr. Then for Circuit city for another two(before they tanked, I joined in 07'!) I'm a dental lab tech now and I love my job! Awesome pay, good benefits and opportunities for advancement. We have a program where they'll pay for you to go through dental school. Cha ching! Anyways there's plenty of jobs to choose from. Talk to other members before you try to join to learn all the tricks to get what you want. I'm not a recruiter, but if you have any questions please ask. Medical jobs are always a good bet and they pay well when you get out!

You may want to list your qualifications and experience if you really want help finding a job(ie years waiting, etc). Do you go to school?. In this economic environment, you're going to compete with many people who have as good or even better qualifications.

I made a good amount of money on the outside. But I have way more disposable income now as an E-4! Those of us that are military know what I'm talking about. 30 days of vacation, every federal holiday, free medical/dental, tuition assistance while your in, G.I. Bill when your out. You can get a VA home loan to make purchasing a home much easier. You get discounts on a lot of other things like car insurance as well. And you get to do something with your life! I'm not gonna lie, the first year sucked. Not much money and tech school was tough. All very worth it. Just don't throw away your money at bars and clubs, and take advantage of the travel opportunities.

^^^^this is true....Joining the Military is the best thing to do in this economy.
Roof over your head and they pay you and they feed you for free (Chowhall). Who can ask for anything more?
Sometimes I think about getting out and joining HPD, But my Paychecks are too good and my Fiance want to move around. Which equals me staying in and being an Active Duty Marine!

I'm not one, but you can be a gov't contractor for KBR, FLUOR, etc. I've met a few people from Hawaii while here in Iraq. You make decent pay, you get free laundry service, food and lodging so all the money you make is for you, just be smart with it.

You could work for a year, and save up a nice little nest egg.

As for me, I couldn't hack working in Hawaii (everything being so service oriented) anymore so I joined the Chairforce and have never looked back.

Military is a great option...plenty of jobs and opens a lot of doors...pick a job field that interest you and you will progress. Or you can move to British Colombia and sell pot.
