Question i need help on a new clutch

well my car will be 5 years old next month. i can't belive thats how long i've known some of you....

well anyways my clutch as been slipping for a while and for its birthday i figure i'll change it if i can find the money. what i need help on is.

1. what clutch is good for the car?

2. how much should it run?

3. and the best place i can do it at? and how much that will cost?

4. what else would i need?

i wish i had a house so i could do it myself. but since it is a big job and i never done it before it looks like i'll be forking out the money for it if possible. thanks in advance for the info.

what do you have in your car? sry but i've never seen it b4. if it's pretty stock then go with the oem clutch. it seems to have done a decent job for ya. if you've got a few more ponies then stock well then maybe go talk to ryan about what is a good one.

What's up Dean give me a call I wanna help out the old schoolers that still post here.Glad to see you kept your car, there is still a few from the old days still hanging on to our pride&joys.Anyway my number is 728-3162 call me ,we can probably work something out w/the boys to install your clutch. I got my A.C.T. from Z1 performance, who gave me a pretty good deal on a clutch I will personally swear by.Pedal feel is a little heavy but i can chirp the tires in second. You might also think about getting a combo deal like Shin RS did w/the exedy clutch & lightened flywheel anyways, hope we can help out.

what kind of price am i looking at? that makes the difference is if i do it soon or not. money is getting kind of tight right bout now. but i'm serieously looking to fix it.

and i don't feel like goin back to oem i know it worked well for me. but you need to realize i drive the car fairly harder than normal even tho i don't go to the x cross or track. i did lose almost a half second off the .25 mile since i first draged the car. the car only got like 40k miles on it and i got it in feb y2k

I just bought an ACT pressure plate with Exedy clutch disc (bearings included) for $450 from Suby Specialists. I have not installed it yet but I hear good things.

I

bought an Exedy from Z-1 and it's not much more pedal feel than stock. Good clutch. I also have a lightweight flywheel.

i'd prefer light weight stuff. there was a race car study and the light weight stuff was prefered. 450... hummm. if i pay off my car and lower my insurance should take me 2-3 months for it. what about the price of a shop doin the install?

my car is a 2000 (2k) 2.5 RS
