Angry Horror!!!

I just got back from sea and went to go get my car......only to find that it had been hit by a drunk driver!!!!!!! The front end was moved about 6-8 feet when he hit it. The frame around the engine compartment is bent around the engine. About 10k worth of mods down the drain. Anyone know a good shop that might be able to fix a bent frame?!? I might have to wait until after I get back from leave to take care of it but any help would be appreciated. I need a shop that would be able to do extensive body work and probably replace the engine. I should be able to post some pics soon. Thanks in advance for any assistance.

Isn't that a job for your insurance?

Well Vakamon can definitely do the motor but you'll need a body shop for the frame.

The insurance company has "network" shops. I want someone that i can trust to do the work. Also I'm not sure if i want them to total the car (which is a possibility) or fix the frame body and engine. The insurance company seems cool with the idea of me taking parts out of the car. Although the intercooler is toast. I should be able to salvage most of the other parts though.

Oakas I believe thats how you spell it they did some work on my STI. They had a STI in there when they had my car that they had swapped out the engine and tranny the car was on the verge of being totaled but they fixed it. If you have USAA it is one of the body shops they use.

It might just be better to bite the bullet and total it out. Cars are never the same after an accident, and if Im not mistaken subys have unibody construction so it would never be back to perfectly straight. Bent frames are usually never worth trying to fix. Sorry man.

I took the car to J X Auto. From the intial estimate they're saying it's going to be totalled. I have to wait until tomorrow to find out for sure.

With frame damage I would recomend that you just as totaled cause once the frame is bent no matter what you do it will never be the same. Sorry to hear about that man.

Well the car is totaled. A word of advice. If you have insurance through Progressive and pay the extra money for the aftermarket part insurance, it doesn't cover your parts if the car is totaled. So Progressive is giving me money for the car and not the parts. There will be a new thread soon as I bought it back and am parting it out. Stay tuned lots of good stuff to sell!!!
