i just picked up an 02 wagon (check out my thread https://www.i-club.com/forums/showth...34#post1891734) & as you can tell in those pics i need to drop it & put some new rims on. I obviously want to close that gap but i know i gotta pass that damn bounce test. I dont run SCCA and i dont plan on flying down tantulus on saturday nights so i just want to put some springs on. What is a good spring rate that will pass the bounce test?

 

seriously dude, no one will pass the bounce test due to the reinforcement of newer tires now a days. even with my stock tires and suspension on i couldn't move my car enough for it to pass the recon test. recon is another way for the state to get our hard earned money. we are the ONLY island and ONLY state that has this kind of law in affect.

most of us do not have recon on here anyway. you shouldn't get hassled with springs as most that cannot afford suspension get springs and they are generally ok. just don't drive like an *** on the street or street race and you should be fine. a loud exhaust might get you a look from a cop but if you're respectful most leave you alone. I had a blitz nur spec exhaust on my car for a few years and the police didn't hassle me at all even when pulled up right next to me or behind me.

what bounce test? I went to recon and passed, but they didn't do any bounce test.I dont think you should worry.
