Help me....

Alright, so I'm lookin' to get a Suby for my first car. I've been told to get a WRX. I have about 14k to spend. If I were to get a Suby and say a WRX...what year would be good to get?? I'm not too familiar with them but a friend or mine has a WRX wagon (jeffildy) and he loves his. So, any suggestions for a new driver/ Suby owner (maybe) any advice?

04's have shim under buckets. You can also swap the 04 ecu with the 03 ecu; there are piggybacks and other ecms for the 03.

If you have 14K,

you'll be lucky to get a 2002 with a lot of miles. Look for someone dying to get an STI.

I think your best bet is to go for the '01 RS (I think they look better than the '02 or '03). You could probably get an awsome deal on one, and have a some money left over for upgrades. You could probably get a '02 WRX with high miles or something like that for 14k. I would go with the RS and upgrade it. Out of the box though the WRX is going to be better. I think that the WRX may be too much power for your first car. I know it would have been for my first car.
