I am just wondering, why would a launch control be useless? If utilized properly and tuned properly, you can greatly benefit for both Drag racing and autocross. I am just wondering.

The car will still shoot for 14.7 no matter what you do to the scalar unless you make it such that it's outside of it's correction window.
I think what's possible is to change the target A/F in closed loop by rescaling the o2.

The tinywrex launch control patch for our car is the "rev limiter" fuel cut.
The snippet of code that gets patched to the rom modifies the cars rpm limit under a certain speed that you can set, for instance 3 mph.
There are two values that you can set, the speed at which launch control will be disabled. 2nd the value of which to lower the rpm limit by. So for me its 3500 which reduces my rpm limit from 8k to 4.5k and I set it to turn off after 3mph.

I think you mean one is an ignition limiter and one is a fuel type of limiter.

The last dyno sheet I posted was with the AVC-R and a sh*t tune @ 18psi at best of 4 pulls. This one was with the Hallman Pro RX MBC and optimum APEXi S-AFC Neo and S-ITC adjustments @ 20psi. Self -tuned, of course. Big difference in the mid range. I miss my little FWD EJ18T ....

300HP (255WHP) / 295TQ (251WTQ) @ 20psi w/VF34

Stock EJ18 power is 110HP (93.5WHP) / 110TQ (93.5WTQ)

yup and 50/50 water-meth mix, i need to swap the nozzle to keep up with the boost, but i am leaning towards gettin and AEM meth kit, and tossin this one

Of course it's pump if Luis did a race gas tune, I'd bet he'd hit 600...my hks header for the win!!!! He made 30hp more on low end and 29hp more overall than his last tune headerless..+1 for Seth
