uptheundagrnd did you get yours yet?
i'd like to hear some testimonials. because i'm really considering this to record some MTB riding sessions. and perhaps mounting it to my RC, i've taped my camera/phone to my RC and gymkhana'd around the house and got some really awesome footage, despite the loud whine of the electric motor.

i don't have a GoPro at the moment, it's really one of those "when i have the money, i'll for sure grab myself this" kinda thing.
just like the lightsaber i recently got, i waitied out about a year, kept a keen eye on the site, watched the patterns, checking reviews and testimonials. before i jumped right into getting it.
the thing that really sort of discourages me about the GoPro's is that they run off AA's, they also have the extra batt pack, but AA's really discourage me. i've had a LOT of trouble with corrosion, it's sort of traumatized me from using AA's and AAA's in my peripherals. even though they're an absolute necessity.
so i shall wait it out and hopefully a square powerpack will be implemented in their cameras soon. if not i'll just get one next paycheck :]

the new HD gopros come with a battery pack that lasts about 2.5-3 hours. the older standard def ones eat up AAAs like nobodys business. last time i used mine i got about 20 minutes of footage and a handful of pictures out of it before it was completely dead.
if you're not gonna go with the new HD gopro, a lot of users recommend using rechargeable lithium AAAs. like the energizer advanced lithium, they are supposed to be the best.
but honestly i would say dont even bother with the standard def gopro anymore, just get the HD model.

i'm definitly considering the HD. i'm wondering why they didn't just go with mini or MicroSD cards for the input.
either way their product looks great. i'm interested in the time lapse feature of the GoPro. have you used it much to know what amount of photos you can get out of a single set of batteries?
there's always the ability to keep it hooked up to a power source which is another big plus for the time lapse photography feature of it.

you can use the microsd if you have the proper adapter to the regular SD size. it's probably because you can loose the microsd if you're not careful! LOL.
