they say they've invested more time into audio than some companies put into the video aspect, i really hope they did their homework, because a lot of their sample vids didn't have the best audio. do you know if you can use a different mic on the gopro cams?

before it was released i saw rumors saying there would be an external mic, dont know if its in the works but theres been no official word on it. but if someones that serious audio they can have a totally seperate recording device and splice that shiz into the final video of course.

click on the Product Catalog button for a lot of good info.

should get this in time for the T4T cruise and will be looking to get the chest harness for the next skydive day!

yeah i saw that crazyness. but thats making me think you'd have to take it out of the case to use those accessories. meaning you lose the waterproof (who cares) and you wouldnt be able to mount it when you throw the battery bakpac thing on. i guess we'll see.

might have to get my hands on some editing software... damn, taking me back to my skateboard fimling/video editing days.

yeah that was my concern as well maybe it's meant to be used like a digital camera to take movies rather than mounted at that point. or it comes with a larger housing that has a spacer?

yeah, could be. im sure the nerds developing these thought out all the details like this.

im excited about the improved audio, and seeing in the base jump video it doesnt sound like your going throug a wind tunnel. all the videos i took with the standard one have too much damn wind noise or i cant find the right combo of HI/LO and gasket in/out to get anything usable without drowning out the audio with "gangsta music" as dave said.

I emailed them just now inquiring about it. I sure hope that they thought things through

keeping my fingers crossed. I'll wait for a reply before my decision. would be great for T4T though.

I might sell my current one to get this one. Of course I'd have to pay the difference though. But it's worth it.

I think when you buy the LCD, it will come with the back of the housing

I just got the response from them

The waterproof housing of the HD HERO has a removable back door. So, with the bakpac accessories a larger back door will be included to accommodate the bakpac within the housing.

Please let us know if you have any further questions.

Many thanks,

looks like I'll be submitting my order soon
