... so, ... I wasn't going to ask this b/c I didn't feel like getting into an argument with some f*ck head on the internet, ....
.... but who watched Fahrenheit 9/11?? Moore is such a f*cking putz.
I started reading a couple threads in the other forums on here and saw the "expected typical" responses from some more Uninformed Americans (should be a race). Man we should be able to upload each others experiences into one anothers brains so some people can GET A CLUE!!
... if anyone wants to see it, ... I have a sh*tty copy in .mpg format.

Was it me? Was i one of the "Uninformed Americans"
I saw tidbits of the film including the "Pre-OIF footage" where children played and everything was "perfect" before the American infidels came guns ablaze.
Won't be long when we're reading this man's obituary after choking on a buffalo wing.

I'd be happy to get the complete file you have though. Not sure if you can email it to my gmail account listed in my profile?

I refuse to enter a political discussion in which I would say that Moore is a complete simpering cretin.

lol!
yeah, it can turn into a very heated discussion!
But we don't have to necesarily get "political", ... it's just a "persuasive film" after all.
We can just bash him!
Salty, ... I've never tried emailing anything over 10MB or so ..... it's about 1100MB ... split in two parts (not the best cam-video, but watchable).
I'll try to find somewhere to host it for a few people ...

In Aug, 1991, I just got out of the Army. I met my future wife in Oct. She was a bit of a New England liberal, believe it or not. I heard about this movie about Panama and Operation Just Cause, when we invaded Panama to unseat or capture the Dictator down there, Manuel Noriega; and to destroy his army. The movie was made by amnesty international, an organization I'd never heard of. You know the type of movie, where there are little fliers in the student union and posted on kiosks.
It had been a little over a year since I'd been involved in that tiny war, so I most certainly wasn't over it yet. I took Kathy thinking that this movie might teach her something about what I had been through. Oh was I mistaken. I never realized how folks could get away with such blatant lies. We left the movie early and if I remember correctly, I was extremely embarrassed because I think I was crying...in front of my new girlfriend. I was outraged.
The outcome of watching that movie: I try to not watch anything that involves someone's opinion or bias anymore. Yeah, I love watching headline news, which is generally just generic news, but I know that the stories they choose to show are based on what the media THINKs we want to, or should know. I don't watch fox news or CNN or any of that crap. If I wanted any of those pampered politicial theorist's opinions, I'd kick it into them!
Another outcome: from that day on, Kathy has been more and more conservative when it comes to the military and our foreign policy.
She is a Bush lady (she's not a big fan, but I'm pretty sure that given Bush's competition, she'll vote for GW)
Moral: I knew before F9/11 came out that I wouldn't be watching it or reading about it.

I actually used to like Michael Moore (I have some of his earlier tapes: Roger and Me, TV Nation, etc) then one day my brain turned back on and I realized how much of a bonehead he's become.
Actually I still tend to like some of his earlier stuff where he pick issues that were not quite as sensitive to the American public. He had a knack for reporting on issues such as closing Detroit auto plants due to jobs being shifted to cheaper labor in Mexico.
At this point though he's really lost my attention. I havn't seen Bowling for Columbine, or Fahrenheit 9/11 and suspect I would be disappointed with both. We just have to remember though he is just exercising his freedom of speech.
Speaking of, someone who I really started listening to over the last 3 years is Michael Savage. He'd agree that Moore is a bonehead, but use a few more words on the front end...

well Pat, ... it's worth a watch. Rise above the getting mad thing and see what he puts on tape about Bush. That part is interesting ...... but the way he "pieces" together other parts (interviews, video, etc) is what is so funny to me. He accuses Bush of "trying to sway or influence the general [unopinionated] public", ...... and that's EXACTLY the same crowd he's doing the same thing to.
This movie is "toned down" compared to Bowling for Columbine, ... meaning not so much 'conspiracy theory', and just more fact. But still, ..... parts of it just made me wanna fast forward what I was seeing (and I did).
but yeah, ... my point was, ... it's worth a watch Pat. Better to be familiar with people's thoughts IMO.

What really got me about Moore is when he got up for his acceptance speech (I think for Bowling for Columbine) and started Bush bashing. I guess that was a sign that a Bush bashing movie was in the works.

Moore's such a major hypocrite when he claims Bush is a liar. If you watch his movie, he claims alot of things that are totally spun out and all lies just to fit his biased view. He has an agenda from day one when Bush was elected anyway. I'd love to see Bush kick his donut loving *** after his presidency.

Where as f 9/11 has a lot of fact put into it, along with things that are put together out of context. A lot less irritating to watch, and some of the video you see on it that you don't see elsewhere is worth it IMO.
..... but anyhow, ... you're first statement there is kinda surprising ...
the "government" might raise the terror warning level. and all that does is make people more paranoid. if the level is high or low i wouldnt do anything differently. its like a car theif, you can get all the latest in alarms but if i theif wants your car he will get it.
