Hell no. I would just die up there. Tho I wonder how much damage was done to the arm already and if it was so extreme that his adrenalin made it easier. Ok, whatever, HELL NO!

Extreme Survival!
He used a tournaquette (sp?) to kill his arm. He felt nothing but tugging...he cut through his elbow, no bones but alot of tendons/ligaments. Not to say this guy didn't do something outstanding, the psychological implications are tremendous, but pain and physical difficulty are, I think, manageable if you are faced with death.
