conserve a turbo?

preserve a turbo?

i did a search and i dont think its been brought up before. i have a stock turbo sitting in my room and i dont want it to rust. i already see a lil rust on the blades. i would like to know how i could well, conserve it. its gonna be in my closet i guess sorta by a window. saran wrap!?!?!?!?!?! lol. dont tease. it might work....any ideas?

oh no, i dont care about the rust, its already there. maybe ill have it pnp but for now i wold like to just preserve it. but thanks

spray some wd40 in it then either tape off the inlet and ehaust or use some pallet wrap to wrap it up

Well,

WD40 stands for water displacement formula 40. It's good for rust inhibition, but I wouldn't go squirting it in the turbo. Outside only would be my advice. Oil would be better inside the turbo IMHO.
