i just paid $483/6 months for my 08 sti. it went up by $100 from last time because the car rating changed and i also lost the new car discount. seems really high when my car sits in the garage 5 or 6 days a week.

 

Like what Chad said. List your vehicles for pleasure only. Some companies will let you do that. Some may not. I have my foz and wrx insured with dtric cuz got fed up with geico. Was with them for 9 yrs. Rates went up for the smallest things. Now I pay 560/6 mos. For both. Full coverages. No rental car (due to having the convenience of a 2nd car). Insured some mods (ie my wing and wheels) and they don't even have to see the car. State farm was good to me for a couple months. Very personable and ignored the fact my car is modded.
Also u can list that you work less than 5 miles from work. Place your deductible as low as you can afford. Plus dtric has vanishing deductible. In a couple years, it will be nil.
