Accident Question

if a 2004 RS was rear ended, and the bumper plus trunk bottom is pushed in so the trunk doesnt close, does it mean the car is totaled? My gf got rear ended, and we're trying to figure out if the car is salvageable or if its totalled? Can n e one shed some light on the subject? Thanks in Advance.

If u wanna see pics, post up, and I'll message them to u guys.

How is the condition of the rest of the car? how far back is the damage? We've had a benz get rear ended. The damage bent up the floor in the trunk area and also prevented the trunk from closing. It was fixed and looks pretty much new now. I doubt your car would be declared totalled, and considering you were rear-ended, the other person pays (is that how it goes here? I forget ). I suggest getting advice/estimates from more than one person. Good luck, and I hope you get your ride back all pretty and stuff .

Uhm...the insurance company is the one that'll decide if it's totalled but you probably will need to get it to a bodyshop. Hope you have AIG

as long as the trunk ins't pushed in like 10 inches it should be fixable. they will hammer out the frame to straighten it out.
