Today is a very sad day for my Subaru Impreza… it’s probably the last day you will ever see it on the roads of Hawaii.
I got hit on LikeLike Hwy Kalihi on ramp town bound around 845pm.
A black Mazda Miata I guess trying to passes a double solid lane I dont know why and side swipes me on my quarter driver side panel that makes me skid into the guard rail, so pretty much my whole front end is smash but my radiator is still in tack I don’t know yet if my cars body is tweaked or not but ill find out tomorrow morning so till now im not going to show any pictures because im so friken sad.
Btw I was not racing and the driver was an old man around his 60’s the guy was so dumb he seem so calm about this like nothing ever happened.
Ok well now if anyone knows anyone selling a 93-96 impreza L or LX COUPE ill buy it after I get somekind of mony back from the insurance so just let me know thanks.

That sucks man!! I feel bad for you dude,..
I got hit waiting to enter an intersection by an elderly couple after sitting in the middle of the street waiting for traffic to clear a good 2 minutes or so...Elderly couple coming down the street with at least 50 yrds could have stopped or slowed down at least. Last 5 feet, old man slammed on the brakes and smashed into my gf's car I was driving. I had time to see him coming, and coming and even throw it into reverse to try and get out of the way,..but the person behind me was too close for me to go anywhere,..

One reason I wish C&C should reapply the driver's test for those 55yrs and older.

Dayum ryan, sorry to hear, no mo seafoam green car. But i feel your pain, this summer someone totalled my car on the other side of that road, going up like, not down. Again, G/L finding replacement. MAybe step up into a wrx now?

 

to say my car is not that damage it can still run its just that the radiator support is push in and the frame part is not damage when I looked at it this morning... I think that all you need to do it buy a radiator support and do some welding here and there then its all good except for the quarter panel... also I could never go up to a newer model I love the old body style that what got me into the Impreza ^^ I hope I win this cause it was his fault for passing the double solid line in the frist place,
also im wondering how much I would get out of this since he totaled my radiator support, ac/and maybe radiator, hood, front head lights, left fender, front bumper/support, chargespeed lip that I dont think I will get anything for that since I dont have any receipt and also quarter panel with rs side skirt.

 

^^^would be less to total the car out than it would to replace all the parts. most likely they are gonna total it out and your gonna have to get a new old car. on the bright side if you find one cheap enough there is a wrx swap in the classifieds i think. GL

 

Oh man! This really sucks I'm so sorry...If they total it out we should have a funeral ...my car is already wearing black...I know thats a smart *** comment, but I really don't know what to say.

 

I hope hey dont cause its not that bad of a damage...
the airbags never deploy and the frame is still good except that I need a new bumper support since the driver side welds came out it even rolls straight. so they better not make it total! I would be ****!
yup no more seafoam green for now... just have to wait till Monday when my insurance company calls me.

OMG I hate to see when this happens, especially to our cars since they are so rare these days. I hope you do sue this guy because there are so many Careless drivers out there that no matter how good a driver you are, they are bound to get you sometime. Good luck with everything and at least you are safe.

 

Hawaii is a "no fault" state for insurance, so I think that'd be more difficult than it would be in Cali.
