also, would have to charge about 100-150 PER hour which is about 3-4 pulls in order to keep the business going... its not always going to be busy so you wont have 8 hour days busy... some days for instance will be slow like maybe 1 or maybe even no one... thats gonna hurt the business. i understand that the weekends are gonna be busy but you can only do so many runs.. unless your willing to do it til 2am or whenever.. but yeah, very risky business.

here is the price list that i got from dynojet.... must have chicken adobo to view...

I remember seeing a AWD/2wd dyno on tv that works by jacking up the car off of all fours and then removing the wheels and then they placed some sort of sensor on the rotors. Would this be cheaper than the traditional dyno? Just a thought...

Dynopak dyno's are still very expensive.

Accuracy isn't something that should be of concern. What you're looking for is the ability to see gains. If the dyno says you're making 100 whp and then you install a full exhaust, a larger turbo, and some air freshener, you ought to be able to see what each of those items progressively gives you.

Shoot you don't even have to test AIR FRESHENER!

We all know it gives at least 100 HP regardless of what else is on your car!

Did you know that new 'neon' light that illuminates your naughsss when you purge at the staging line itself gives you a 3hp?

I have a Haltech in my Talon AWD, and just got an AEM EMS for my Evo. I would sure love to see an AWD dyno on this island, and would definately be a customer. I'm sick of converting stuff to 2WD to dyno on this rock, and it's a much more involved porocess with the Evo, than it is with the DSMs.

I guess I'll have to track tune for the time being.

hmm.. sounds like you guys need to move to the mainland.
There are lots of AWD dynos here. I posted about a guy named Mike in a different thread. Well he's got mad $$ and he wants to start a business out here in NY.
He's going to buy the dyno and we're going to get a shop. We're currently looking for a good spot where noise won't be a big issue.
We're going to get guys from TurboXS to teach mike and I how to tune the Utec Properly. I already have a lot of experience with the Hydra. I'm one of the few that talk to Andrew Nam (Quantum Performance Development) on a regular basis. I get free updates and accessories. So point is, I'll be his Hydra Tuner and dealer. You guys gotta come visit. And for all the Navy "Nukes", get stationed up here at prototype.
