tesh and sigterm, Ghad Damn! Your bikes are pristine. Looks like I can eat off the motor.

I'm thinking of picking one of these up. I'm not a fan of fighting the bead and the bead winning over the patience I lack.
No-Mar: This is the No-mar Classic Model

If I pick it up, our HIIC 2 wheeler club are welcomed to it.

I'm at work and can't view everyone's pics, but I'll check them out when I go home.

That be them. A couple of them are my classmates from the MSF Rider Coach class. Don't want to disclose where they instruct and incriminate their off time hooligan shenanigans.[/QUOTE]

Safetied? Don't need that rubbish on a SM. Nah-nah, hope none of my bosses don't surf this forum. Reason why I was ordered to be a safety officer and MSF RC was because I was caught doing some spirited hooligan riding.

So whats it take now days "legal" wise to convert over to SM? I was thinking about it since you were talking, and I don't goto Kahuku as much as I'd want to, figured maybe take one of the thumper's on the road. I have a partial kit to convert, just never got around to the legal side of it. I heard it was pretty easy at one point, then hard, then easy... never got a straight answer so i just gave up after a while.

got any pointers for doing something like that?

Ah man. We can't plate dirt bikes anymore. We can still buy previously plated bikes.

There might still be a loophole for conversions iirc when i went for recon (the drz i bought was a mainland import from some kid, good story about how i got it lol)

it comes down to the vin number, but Goku's probably right, you dont see that many conversions anymore...

Sigterm> I may have seen you riding down pali one morning/afternoon? was probably a few weeks ago, but i remember a female rider on a blue bike w/a dark colored bike as a lead (figured your r6 then?)

i'm debating picking up a cruiser/chopper again - i had a kawasaki vulcan 1300 as my first bike here on island (too good a deal to pass up), sold it a few months later for a little profit haha, now wishing i kept it **edit** found a pic:

woody & spinplay - killer bikes! i got into road riding with my office guys when i first got here, but since i've changed offices i rarely ride anymore (sucks w/o a group to push you, i'm a lazy sob when it comes to exercise haha, we used to do 25mi/morning most weekdays before work) , i want to ride the sandbox, but i dont think my mongoose DHTeam 'tank' of a mountain bike would hang very long lol

oh Goku, the SMJ guys are killer riders though, taught me to be a little more lenient with the throttle when i had just gotten the drz; dunno how well i'd do on the street with these knobbies though, they have alot of mass and dont change directions too quickly...

Yea that probably was us. Saturday we went out and about and I had her on the back the whole day. Glad this past weekend's weather was so unbelievably nice, made for some good rides. You must have a photographic memory or something to remember that, and a stealth colored subi, I usually notice the subarus around me, especially yours!

Haha ^ I made a point not to follow too close, like to give riders their space for sure - great weather for sure, I stayed indoors lol; but I paddle on sat mornings in lanikai, so that's my one outside thing to do at least.

What's everyone think of Ruckus scoots? I got one being offered to me, tempted to pick it up... Or this one '76 vespa (love classic vespas, learned some of my first two wheel tricks on one lol)

I hate how hard they are to get out here 808- that's the only reason i'd even get this one now lol

Oh Goku forgot to mention, that NoMar is awesome ; friend of mind had one and its amazing easy when you buy all the accessories. But for dirt rims, a set of tire spoons and some soapy water and I had four wheels done in about 4hrs with beer breaks, food, etc, including running to Costco- imo worth it if you're not changing tires every couple months

soapy water, tire irons, LOTS of patience, and watch the tube for kinks!
I used to do my own tires, when I was racing at Kahuku every month or so, I'd change them all out myself.
Now I'm older, and wiser, so F that stuff, I take it to Dom's in kaneohe.

^^ haha well then you already know the toil and trouble - i figure dom's is the most competitive in price, i like the shop overall; they did my first safety 2 years ago - i know my reg is coming up so i better legalize it and get to inspected again. I've got a spare 06 gsxr led taillight (oem) to swap out the drc edge i have (too bad, not dot legal) and then i need some dot rear blinkers and reflectors all around... waht a waste too, they break in 2 seconds on the trail...

So when is one of you going to setup a kahuku dirtbike day? Or who's got a truck? I have a CRF250f that I haven't ridden in years because I don't have a truck.

I'd sure like to set something up.
All this talk has me itchy for some *brap brap*.
As for trucks, sounds like that's the main problem in here. I have a truck, but it'll be full of bikes that I'll be taking up there.
Who wants some rallycross experience with a trailer on the subie?

As for dates, thinking a saturday(less crowded usually) @ kahuku motorcross track , 9am, hmm 10/15 ?

that'll give everyone 2 weeks to fix up their bikes, get things going and plan it out.
So who's in?

ditto - i'm down. need to do an oil change / clean up the filters etc before then anyway; might get to it this weekend - maybe i'll look for a truck? I'd drop a trailer on my subie if i had a hitch; still looking for one... oh, and a place to put a trailer lol
