All 3. That's what I would do. If you're going to get a new shifter why not get new shifter bushings to go along. But if you must, the shifter. You may be happy enough with it to not want new bushings anymore.

I was able to get mine second hand from a guy that was trading in his WRX. Cobb actually discontinued their shifters and they guy who made the design then took it to Mode and Mode started making them. They literally are the exact same, just different colors and one has an OG brand name.

I've got a Kartboy, it was the first thing I installed on my car back in 04'. Now I wish my gears were shorter =(

So there is some cobb short shifters out there for our models? But they just don't make them brand me anymore with the cobb name?

If your goingt o get shifter bushing, the kartboys ones, I would recomend getting the TiC (Turn in Consepts) Holy shift bushings kit. the TiC kit has the kartboy front and rear bushings but also has the bushings for the shift yolk. All three sets of bushings ar under the car on top of the tranny, not that bad to install tho if you have the right tools. I have the TiC kit installed on my setup, 6 speed with the stock sti short shifter. let me tell you it gets rid of all the slop in the shifts, makes it solid. If your at a meet and want to check it out let me know. or PM me and we could meet up.
