WRONG FORUM.
If it isn't turbo, you probably don't need synthetic. Synthetic doesn't break down as easily, doesn't foam, tends to flow better at start up, etc... As long as you are changing at appropriate intervals and use something other than el cheapo oil, you should be fine.
150K is lowish for a 95. My 97 has 208K.

The fear from changing oils is a total myth. It's a marketing scheme designed to make u loyal to one brand. It has been myth busted by Bob The Oil Guy. If you want to learn more about oil, and I mean EVERYTHING, search Bob the Oil Guy =)
For a car with such high mileage, definately go to synthetic. 5w30 would be recommended, although if you go with German Castrol Syntec, you can go 0w30. I've heard it's one of the best synthetic oils around. I'm personally trying it out on my next change. Goodluck.

Not changing from one brand to another, changing back to fossil oil after switching to synthetic. Some seal materials may not like going back and forth between types.

I highly doubt it makes any difference difference if they call it "high mileage" or not, they are likely the same thing just with different additives. I've done it on a few of my previous high mileage cars and never had an issue. If the car was well maintained and isn't currently leaking, it will probably be fine.
