possibly a small problem (oil smoke after oil & filter change)
BACK GROUND
i just changed the oil and ran into a small problem doing that.a friend helped me due to my shoulder still being messed up.while helping me he forgot to use a new crush washer on the drain bolt causing a leak,a rather large one.so after pouring in all that oil we were able to get a new washer on w/o loosing all the oil,and we have have poured to much in to compensate for the oil that was lost
ON TO THE PROBLEM
at start up i blow a little smoke now.nothing horrible, just a cloud of what smells like burnt oil.after i start driving it stops and doesnt return until i have stopped the motor.so here are my ideas as to what is is
1)too much oil.-solution-empty into a new clean container and refill.
2)pcv is shot.im at 70k miles so its possible.easy fix
3)i am a 06 sti so ringlands are a possibility.theres no lose in power or anything so i dont think its that.
please leave your feedback

maybe leaking thrust washer/oilseals on your turbo, mine exhibited those symptoms before puking oil into my intake.
definitely do a thorough check of your manifolds, oil in the intake charge will det those pistons with a quickness.

no issues before the oil change.
tonite i purchased a brand new oil pan.placed a close knit screen over it and drained the oil.then one QT at a time refilled it.i put 4 full QT's in,ran until operating temp and then parked on level ground to cool off.in a hour or so ill check the oil level.i figure i should be a little low since i only added 4 QT's but counted on having 1/2 a QT in there.
