My car is going in to the dealer tomorrow for a tranny problem
4th gear syncro is compleately out. I have to double clutch it to get it in gear. they qouted me $1,000 just to look at it if its not under waranty, it bettery be since this is a 2011 STi.

 

hope they dont blame it on your downpipe or ap.

 

you should unmarry the AP and switch downpipe before you bring it back in that way they cant say anything about how u caused it.

change out everything and they said that to me they have to tell everyone if its not covered you have to pay its bs and i think it might be my wheel bearings who knows im changing my wheels in the morning to be safe and ill take it back in not tomorrow but tuesday =( ****in sweet i wish this **** went boom. but with all my mods off lol

got lazy and didnt wake up changing my wheels today and then taking it in tomorrow and make sure your car is washed because if your car is dirty then u abuse it..says diablo

 

I would make sure its clean before taking it to Diablo Subaru so they don't take the time to wash it and jack up the paint like they did to mine on the 1st day I got my car!

I just got my car back from Steven Creek Subaru. They fixed the tranny under warranty, but found a few problems with their work.

wow dude I feel like in in exactly the same boat as you! my parents got a new car for me as well for the warranty and im paying ****ty monthly payments, when i have a job. It blows so much! Oh yea and I know what you mean about shifting it into reverse...its a pain in the ***. good to know its a problem with all 08+ impreza's. But yea I go to putnam and there is one guy there who is an enthusiast, he is the only chill guy. And he was recommending what mods I should do and stuff, everyone else has a ****ing stick up their ***.

I really want to check out AHQ (auto headquarters) in redwood city. I hear they are really good and I actually spoke to them before, they're hella nice. You should definitely take your subi to them especially since the specialize in subarus. I think the guy's name is kevin. It wont be warranty work, but these guys can pretty much guarantee you the best quality and quickest service in town, for sure better than the stealership.
