09 impreza 2.5i 4eat holds rev and won't shift???

My 09 impreza used to have a problem where the 4eat would not shift until the higher rpm in drive (not sport mode) and now its gotten to the point where the shift occurs right around the 3500-4000rpm range even when gently pressing the gas pedal.

Is there any way to fix this issue?

I did a ATF about 2months ago, and this issue was occurring before that flush too.

What did he end up doing?

Also, how can you test if your CAT is creating too much backflow pressure?

thanks

Im pretty sure they just replaced it and there should be a test for it but I'm not sure how to do it... does your car have a warranty cause it must be covered

Would it be free to get replaced?

Well I did an oil change and new tank of fuel and it seemed to cure the issue, since it hasn't happened since oil change and new tank of gas.........?

Weather is colder than when I originally posted.. Anything I should be worried about?

-never got a chance to go to the dealership.
