Engine/Power - non turbo (All non turbo Imprezas) Who needs a turbo when you have 2500cc? Cams, intakes, exhausts, etc. The 2.2L and 1.8L Subies are cool too.

It's much cheaper to just turbo your EJ25 and you'll get the same power output. Unless you will really miss the last 800 RPM before redline, keep the EJ25.

I totally agree. Better throttle response and low end torque. High compression has it's advantages

Hey BAN... you ever feel like we're the only ones responding to most of these questions?

Haha, just about, in this forum anyway. The 3 guys with more posts than me have WRX's, so I guess I'm turning into king of the EJ25 hill, haha. Which is really funny to me because my RS is 99.5% stock.

that is funny.
My RS is 99.5% aftermarket.

Not really, but I have done a lot to it.

skywalker, are you tuning with the link pad? If you have the pc-software and connector for it, how does it compare to using the TECII and TECIII? I am leaning towards getting TECIII before a turbo kit, but if Link is as good then I'll get whatever's convenient.

I have a MY00 RS with the WRX Swap done by I-Speed. Since MY00 and MY01 have no differences in terms of the engine specs. It will be the same. I will say that the car is fast. The gear ratios help it out a lot. I have been enjoying my car for quite a while and it has been very reliable with no problems what so ever. My car is the white JDM look a like on the I-Speed webpage.

Oh, and your best bet is to have the swap done by the I-Speed guys since they do a very good job on it. The finished product comes out looking like a factory produced car.
