First time post here: Ill start of by saying I know very very little about auto mechanics in general, but I do know a little.

here goes:

2002 Impreza OB sport 5-sp 76,000

no mods

I got a new clutch at around 60,000. No more slipping, and no more cold weather shuddering. But now, happens very bad on an upward incline, when transitioning to give the car gas, the clutch just hops like a mad man on the flywheel something. It shakes really bad, just pounds the car. Could this be a tranny mount, or more likely could it be a the ****ty suby flywheel and hydraulic system beating up my new clutch?

 

Any warranty on the previous clutch job? I'm thinking yes if it was from the TSB for clutch shudder. Try that first if you can.

I did not take it a Subaru Dealer, I actually took it to a Saab/Subaru specialist thats very local. The clutch is still under warranty, and Im taking in to get looked at when I get my tax return. But what Im wondering is..If the Clutch is bad, and will get replaced, or if it is just the flywheel. Should I replace the flywheel , with a lighter one? Will that reduce the chances of the chatter coming back in the future, and will it make the car rev just a tad faster?

If yes, What flywheel would you guys recommend, like I said I dont plan on doing anything else performance wise to the car?
