Can a 99 impeza L engine thats SOHC, be converted to DOHC? is it possible or simple? this a side project i wanna start doing so i can turbo it as well. Just wanna see how far an Impreza ej22 engine can be pushed..

 

im pretty sure all heads are interchangeable

 

well if its a dual port and not a single port there shouldn't be a problem. then comes tuning it for the ecu you MIGHT need a stand alone maybe im not sure just cuz your ecu is made for a sohc.

 

why convert? tear that engine completely out and drop in a wrx or sti engine!

 

too much money for one of those engines i think ima go with the ej18 blocka and 2.2 heads

 

or just do what im doing building an All Motor SOHC EJ25
