anybody know the tubing size of 06 impreza?? im tryin to get sti axleback off a 04 model..duno if that fits right on or i have to do modifications on it?

 

I have an Sti axelback on my 06' impreza. It will fit.

 

Can you measure the diameter of the pipe leading into the muffler? I know the whole cat-back will fit, but I want to know the pipe diameter. It would be a big help.

 

the stock piping size on a 07 impreza 2.5i is 2" (should be the same for the 06 models)

 

anyone tuning their 07' 2.5i exhausts?

yes. 02+ WRX/STI CBE's will fit on 06+ 2.5i


CBE = Cat Back Exhaust!

 

I sent an email to SPT asking if their exhaust would fit the new 07' 2.5i. he told me that they didn't make an exhaust for the 2.5i becuase they found that there were no significant increases in power or performance. if this is true, why do so many people buy aftermarket exhausts for their non-turbos... the sound?

 

the only exhaust part SPT makes i thought was an axleback which doesn't give you anything...just make it sound different...you need to replace header back or cat-back to see any kind of gains

 

anyone care to recommend a header-back or cat-back that's not going to wake grandma from her grave? ;-)

 

Your power gains with the NA engine, 'specially with the 2.5i are going to be very small untill you can get an ECU reflash.
But I picked up an SPT and love the way it looks and the fact that its nice and quite.

do you mean OBX headers or an exhaust? if it's headers are those EL?
