Engine/Power - non turbo (All non turbo Imprezas) Who needs a turbo when you have 2500cc? Cams, intakes, exhausts, etc. The 2.2L and 1.8L Subies are cool too.

New member question.

New member question.

Hi Fella,
I'm a new member of the club. I am thinking about buying a new Impreza with automatic transmission. I'd like to ask question about reliability of non-turbo Impreza with auto transmission? also is it easy to maintenant it like other regular engines such as Honda or Toyota? Because look like only 1 specialice shop at my area other than Subi dealers. I'd like to DIY by myself some small jobs such as Tune-up, brake replacement, oil changing, replace timing belt.
Thank you for your times, I'm very appriciated.

no boost is a big problem. Just kidding. Sorry to waste your time. I would add useful info in here if I had any clue. As far as I know all subarus are reliable and you cant really go wrong with any of them. Maintain it and it will be good to you.

Auto trannies on the non-turbos also last forever.
Maintenance is a mixed bag...
Oil change-easy
brake job-easy
Spark plugs-can be a pain, but possible with some patience
Timing belt-let the pro's do it!

Thank you for reply. Do auto trannies of Subaru are easy to maintain as other like Honda? you don't need to replace filter or gasket for auto trannies.
Thank you for your times.
