Engine/Power - non turbo (All non turbo Imprezas) Who needs a turbo when you have 2500cc? Cams, intakes, exhausts, etc. The 2.2L and 1.8L Subies are cool too.

Map or Maf?

Map or Maf?

Does the 99 EJ22 intake use a map or maf sensor. I am looking for an intake, but most suggest i stick to stock due to problems with the MAF sensor, but map should be ok. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in Advance.

You gots both.

The map sensor just reads your negative pressure though, thus throwing a CEL if you boost it.

The MAF sensor is right before the big black box (intake).

If you get an aftermarket intake, all you need to do is get an adaptor... Which you can find at your local auto store... Vibrant makes them, and they're about 10 dollars.
