Engine/Power - non turbo (All non turbo Imprezas) Who needs a turbo when you have 2500cc? Cams, intakes, exhausts, etc. The 2.2L and 1.8L Subies are cool too.

jdm swap or usdm swap

hey whats up people, i need your help , i dont know which motor to put in my car which is a 99 2.5rs . i know the us motor is easy to swap and it can use the stock wrx ecu , but now the jdm motor, i heard that you cant use the jdm ecu . why is this, and how would i run my motor if i decide to go jdm . how can it be tuned or worked on if i do any electronic mods or even install an alarm. pleez help me out, i want this swap done soon, and if you have a motor for sale, lemme know about it too. thanks

Well for one thing a USDM swap is completely emmisions legal while a JDM swap is not...
