Well put. You guys crawl under the car often to examine how pretty your cat back looks? Ask for the best exhaust guy they have to do your system, and move on. Besides, if you have a problem with leaks, they'll fix it for free. There's no guarantees that your name-brand, pretty boy exhaust will be leak free either, cause it will have connecting welds and gaskets too. Anyone who can tell the difference between a mandrel bent and a shop-fabbed system is running a lot more power than your RS is. An exhaust system is merely a way of extracting spend gases. Money that could be saved for better purposes, like a kick-a$$ engine, turbo kit, and stand alone fuel management

Spend the money where it counts.

DOHC is 98

its a 98....99-2002 is SOHC with MAP

My bro's 99 has a MAP, I think it depends on the production date that year.

But it did have a MAF, maybe not on all models.... but at least most.

huh wierd....they must have slapped a 99 sticker on some of the 98s and sold em for a couple grand more =) heh heh

I have COBB intake and exhaust and love it. Glad i spent the extra money cause my ride is worth having an oil-free cat back. Had a friend get some local shop to bend his and it leaked pools. Dono how much u trust Butch down at Midas to weld u up a 7 piece cat but i didn't take any chances.
