Help an old-school piston head....
I'm an old guy (44) when it comes to tuning a 4 cylinder. In my younger years I had a 440 'Cuda, built to the hilt, and I did most of it myself. Should have kept that car.....anyway, I've had several Honda's, Acura's, and now my second Subaru, a 2004 Impreza Outback Sport, and I love this car. I never tuned any of my Honda's, but would like to get some more power out of this little car. Can anyone suggest an easy way to get a few more horses from this engine? Can it be chipped? Does that work? What about an exhaust that adds power but doesn't sound like a lawn mower. Or a cold air intake. I'm not looking to race the thing, just want to get off the line a little better w/out spending a mint.
Any advise is appreciated!
