Engine/Power - non turbo (All non turbo Imprezas) Who needs a turbo when you have 2500cc? Cams, intakes, exhausts, etc. The 2.2L and 1.8L Subies are cool too.

header question

i was searchin and i found some headers for my car in my price range and i was wondering how hard they are to install any help or advice where to look for this kind of thread would be greatly appreciated

You see... the nice thing about the boxer is that the headers is immediately under the block. You can get some ramps, roll your car onto them. The one thing I am wondering about is if you need to drop the whole front half of the exhaust or not. There may be a part where it may be a little hard to get to one of the bolts. It is essentially 6 bolts or something. Maybe someone can elaborate or something.

when taking exhaust off the bigest problem is taking off the turbo heat shied so much small bolts that are a b%^$# to unscrew cuz have to be all done manually with a tiny wrench otherr wise the rest i took off maybey in half hour
and add 10-15min on just the turbo bolts lol

97 Impreza, no turbo, therefore no turbo heatshield.
