Front Mount Intake

Hondas and Acura have that front mount intake kit, has neone put any thought into putting one of these kits on a N/A impreza ?

I'd stay away from that. Stick to what works.

Cobb/Injen/OBX/Ebay Intakes

The "front mount" intake would have a lot of pipe. I don't think it'd work so well.

its really not that critical. if its as great as you think it is you would only gain like .5 hp from it anyway.

I think I had an intake kit that goes down forward where you can see the filter from the bumper... I had it installed once but it is rainy days, so I took it out for now. mine came two piece pipes that you can convert to regular short ram intake. but I noticed when I put the entire thing together I noticed increased wind noise, but HP wise, didnt feel any significant difference between the two.

it should get more air though because its straight out ramming the outside air. but I'd rather install it when its not raining...
