exhaust size?

exhaust size?

have 032.5rs,already have high flow muffler,cold air,& k&n filter.
going to increase exhaust diameter from the last cat to the muffler,any suggestions on size.thinking 2 1/2 inch. 2nd question--any body put headers on.wan't to eventualy.curious how the noise is at cruising speeds.dont want to be too intrusive on trips but sound awesome under heavy accel

Get some headers, but don't go larger than 2.25" with the exhaust if you aren't going to run N2O or FI, or if you won't be on the track A LOT. The gains in high RPM with larger piping are more than offset by low-end losses. As far as headers go, the newer Borlas are getting good comments, and they are the best of the ones that can easily be used with other aftermarket parts like turbo kits. If you are sticking with N/A, then also look at Brullen, MRT, and a couple others.

yeah thats what i was thinking,2 1/2 just seemed a little large to me. i'll probably go with 2 1/4. dont want all the low end loss.everyday driver u know.im gonna save up to get headers after this mod. saw the fourth generation models at rallitek.com for about 310.thanx for the info

i just put on some borla headers and i highly reccomend them for their sound. if you are looking for great performance increase you might wanna consider brullen
