Engine/Power - non turbo (All non turbo Imprezas) Who needs a turbo when you have 2500cc? Cams, intakes, exhausts, etc. The 2.2L and 1.8L Subies are cool too.

Question Doing a radiator drain and fill.

I'm about to do a radiator drain and fill and I was wondering was is the best type of radiator flush to use? If anyone wondering I got a Koyo radiator and its time to put new fluid in my ride. So whats the best stuff to use, I heard slick 50 is..

no need

unless that your coolant is very dirty, you dont have to flush it chemically. Just drain it and flush it with clean water. Using chemical to flush it may actually do more harm when not properly neutralized or completely removed ( it may actully turn corrosive or raised the ph balance of your coolant). The use of distilled water along with your coolant (follow the manufacturers recom. mixture) is also recommended. Make sure the you properly purge your system when done.
