Engine/Power - non turbo (All non turbo Imprezas) Who needs a turbo when you have 2500cc? Cams, intakes, exhausts, etc. The 2.2L and 1.8L Subies are cool too.

'Ram air' is a marketing term coined by some genius at a company that makes short, non cold air intakes. Unfortunately it stuck and even those of us who know it's incorrect refer to it as such. True ram air is still used occasionally. I think the 'Ram Air' WS6 Pontiac Trans-Ams used it by having the hood scoops actually function as part of the intake.

Well why don't U all just get the best of both and go with what I have .....a short ram in an isolation box ......U get the good clean dry air from the high mounted filter , as well as the cooler air of the cold air intake. If U have a older model scuby U can even shoot Ur scoop air in to the box to boot, or on the newer models, get a WRX hood to replace the RS stock no scoop hood.....tiz what Im trying to do at the moment, But just make real sure Ur "Iso.Box" is a good tight sealing bit of home made goodness, or its a bogous try at colder air induction

later kidz

That is an effective solution, but there is one twist. The only pre-fab units I know of that do this use carbon fiber for the box. Bit pricey considering they don't outgain the Ganzflow or Cobb.

mmm true dat! ....but I wasn't rilly thinking of saying to buying it, just make it only cost me 20 bucks. I didn't even know there where companys who did fab. them. Its just plastic sheeting ( plexiy glass, what ever U want ) and some hood gasket material with some time to get it to jive in the engine bay

well keep a poastin my suby bros
