98 OBS 2.2 exhaust questions/suggestions.

Hi,
I am looking for some insight into a header back for a 98 Outback Sport 2.2L...
Sounds like 2" is a large a dia as I should go..I am looking for something mellow but free flowing.Also will a free flowing system with cat throw any CEL's? Also that I should stick with Subaru O2 sensors..
One thing that I noticed is that my exhaust ports are large single and some have twin,why is this? Are the twins on the turbo engines?

nobody knows why then went with single port, but they did get larger valves on the single port engines, 2.5 in would work too, it will probably have to be custom.

We have a custom shop....

Hi,
We have a local chain of custom shops (Lou's Custom Exhaust) here in Northern Ma,Southern Nh that do excellent work... I have had them do my 4x4 pickup,Honda Accord and Audi 5000 all excellent....All very reasonable.
Sounds like I need to get Subaru O2 sensors and let them take care of the rest... They will do a custom bent,aluminized(sp) fully welded with a high flow cat for $300-manifold back...
Just wondering if anyone has had any issues with the CEL coming on after doing a free flowing exhaust..
