Hi there i have 07 subi impreza,
I crashed my old car which was a 06 subi impreza, so i took all the parts out and intalled it on my new baby.
The first think i intalled is 'weapon r' intake that i had previously.
But i noticed some thing, when i push gas and it goes more than 3000rpm, i have this slightly Squeaking sound coming from my engine, the most noticeable on the 3rd gear.
And I noticed that it happens when i push on gas only.
My car is almost brand new has 1000 miles on it.
Anybody knows what it could be?

I had it in my last 06 impreza 2.5i automatic didnt have that niose

 

power is delivered differently in an auto. different power band

 

i put the intake on for him about a week ago. we where trying to figure it out what is was. I think its the throttle body, because its only when u give a little bit of throttle like 15 to 20 percent. any more it goes away.

 

yeah thats exactly what mine does must just be louder when you take the stock intake off.

i guess if its not anything bad, so I could live with that.

 

there could be a welding defect in the intake

its the intake whistling i have a injen intake on my 2006 2.5i nd when you hit the gas it whistles..ive heard it on many other cars that have intakes..
