i got a 94 2wd 1.8 non turbo. how can i get power? anyone else out there with the same set up? what body kits do you prefer for the GC8's?

 

Turbo kit or a motor swap. Otherwise, the 1.8 is a dead end.

 

I'll be starting a project for the 1.8 which will involve custom fabricated headers and an intake... The projects a while out yet... : )

I'll keep you posted incase you don't do a swap...

i actually have the same car, and the same problems. all i have is a custom intake, hyper ground system, and a custom weld on exhaust. im actually looking for a porsche tuner to make me some custom headers, catless preferably. youre not gonna find much out there, save for exaust and pulleys. if you want to stick with the small displacement, youll have to get custom stuff made. do the same thing im trying to do. im gonna run an EJ25 off of the Ej18 ecu, per Kostamojen's advice ( thanx bro ) if you have any questions, he may be the best to ask. he is also selling a turbo kit for the 1.8, if he hasnt sold it yet. if you wanna keep it non turbo, ill let you know what kinda difference the custom headers make. as for bodykit, go C-West. it is pricey, but out of all the JDM kits, its the most widely available. you could probably get them from chrisferno at Area 51 in san mateo ( AWD 20T on the boards ) i still have to go back and order mine.
