SOHC heads on EJ257 STI block.

Will mating EJ253 SOHC heads in an EJ257 STI block lower the compression? If I put STI rods and pistons in the stock ej253 would that lower the compression?

If i turbo EJ257 sti block with SOHC heads will i need the sti ecu?

or can I run my stock EJ253 ECU with the turbo sti block?

just a wild guess you dont need an sti ecu because you wont be running avcs.
call up crawford performance or axis, im sure they have experience with the differnent head selections on a ej257

wow this would be a project! though the SOHC heads would most likely raise the compression WAY to hell. I honestly dont think this is a very practical project though, you might as well look out for a set of WRX heads, they are not that expensive nowadays
