Arrow Simple Exhaust Question!!!

This might sound stupid... but I can't seem to find the answer myself. I was actually wondering if anyone knows how hot a suby exhaust average temperature is?? By exhaust I mean downpipe and uppipe..... how how do they get usually??? Please let me know, I'm curious......

Thanks guys!!

The exhaust gases in the uppipe can be anywhere from 700C (1292F) to 950C (1742F) so just do the heat transfer calculations for your uppipe material type and you're all set.

The downpipe will be a bit cooler.

Haha sorry bro, I was just joking around . Actually, in all seriousness, the easiest way would be to get one of those little guns that emit a laser beam, and you shine the beam onto any service and it gives you a pretty accurate temperature read out. Can also use them to read tire temps etc, very useful little tool. I have one and I actually start getting addicted and "ray gun" everything I see :P.

Wink

J/K too.I have seen those laser beam guns at some autopart stores.
They should give you a accurate temperature reading.
